Wife of Republican Shooter Had No Clue About Her Husband’s Plans
The wife of the man arrested on charges of opening fire at the congressional baseball game said, “I can’t believe he did this! I had no idea this was going to happen and I don’t know what to say about it. I can’t wrap my head around it. I’m sorry that he did this. There’s nothing I could do about it.”
Little did she know that her husband was on the verge of committing such a heinous crime, said James Hodgkinson’s wife emotionally. The shooter was a resident of Belleville, Illinois and was shot dead by the Police on Wednesday in a shootout.
Sue and James had been married for 30 years, although, they had been living separately until March when James shifted to D.C. and started living with his wife. Sue was clueless about her husband carrying a gun along with him. The only thing she knew was that he was going to meet people to change tax brackets.
She said, “He sold almost everything he owned from his businesses.”
James had been home all day with his daughter and 2-year-old granddaughter, never giving an inkling of his true intentions for the day.
