Twitter Notches Victory Against Trump Administration
Twitter was successful in making the U.S. government back down from its request for information with regards to an anti-Trump account, which was using its handle to tweet about immigration. Twitter, whom had filed a lawsuit, withdrew the same early today, a day after filing. The Guardian had the latest on the news, tweeting the same, with the lawsuit having been updated.
The crux of the matter was that the Trump Administration, along with the U.S. Customs and Border Protection department were looking for information on the individual/ organization behind the twitter handle @ALT_uscis, which has taken a strong anti-Trump stance, tweeting regularly about immigration issues.

Twitter took a stand for its users privacy, as it has done several times in the past.
And this goes down as another instance when the tech world held its own and wasn’t shy to take a stand against the Trump administration. Right on Twitter!
