Johnny Depp Ticks Off Trump, Says “When Was The Last Time An Actor Assassinated A President?”
The Trump administration has some members who seem to be confronting Hollywood, almost everytime they get a chance.
Similarly, celebrities, especially actors and comedians are making comparable remarks against Trump’s administration.
A few weeks back, Kathy Griffin’s photo which dispensed Donald Trump to be beheaded led to widespread anger amongst the President’s supporters!!
Well if that wasn’t enough, Johnny Depp decided to take it one step ahead.
The actor was attending the Glastonbury Festival on Thursday, recollecting memories about his 2004 film, ‘The Libertine‘, when he decided to address the audience saying, “Can we bring Trump in?”
The audience was quick to boo the idea. To which Depp replied, “No, no, no. You misunderstand completely. I think he needs help. And this is going to be in the press and it’ll be horrible. But I like that you are all part of it. When was the last time an actor assassinated a president? I want to clarify: I’m not an actor. I lie for a living however it’s been a while. Maybe it’s about time.”
Depp was only, I think, hinting at John Wilkes Booth who shot President Lincoln in 1865.
…Or maybe he has other ideas for Trump… 😅
