British PM Theresa May Chides Trump For His Tweets Against London Mayor Khan

Britain’s Prime Minister Theresa May made her opinion very clearly known over President Trump’s critical comments towards London’s Muslim Mayor, Sadiq Khan stating that he was “wrong” to criticize the mayor. Trump had set Twitter ablaze by continuously disparaging Khan on his inaction towards taking enough measures to protect the city! Furthermore, Trump’s sons were defending his tweets by tweeting themselves.

The Sun, a British tabloid reported May saying, “Relationship with America is our deepest and most important defense and security relationship. Having said that, I think Donald Trump is wrong in what he said about Sadiq Khan, in relation to the attack on London Bridge.

Some of the harsh tweets of the US President include, “At least 7 dead and 48 wounded in terror attack and Mayor of London says there is “no reason to be alarmed!

But Trump misunderstood Khan’s statement of “no reason to be alarmed“, as he was reffering to the increased police security and nothing else. What he actually said was,

Khan’s actual tweet had said, “Londoners will see an increased police presence today and over the course of the next few days. No reason to be alarmed.

Furthermore, Khan tweeted again, saying, “Severe means an attack across the country is still highly likely, and so we have all got to be vigilant.

Likewise, many others along with the British PM have also bashed Trump for his “ill-informed” remark! Even though the White House spokespersons have mentioned that the President did not wish to fight with the Mayor, Trump’s tweet has created quite the storm and has already done its damage. 🤷
