Apple iPhone X: It’s That Time Of The Year Again
It’s been 10 years since the late Steve Jobs took the stage to unveil the device that was to change everything.
The Apple iPhone today, completes 10 years, and in that short span of time, the device has only gone from strength to strength (though some might disagree!). And, like every year, Apple has organized a grand event to unveil its newest line of devices.
Apple is expected to release three new versions of the iPhone, a HD Apple TV and a new and revamped Apple Watch Pro. The event is being held at Apple’s newly campus, the Apple Park, in the Steve Jobs theatre.
FUN FACT: The Apple Park is considered to be Steve Jobs final designed ‘product’.
Apple’s launch date is keeping in mind with the most important season for their products, through Thanksgiving, Christmas, Boxing Day and the New Year. In the past 10 years, the company has sold over 1.2 billion iPhones, even though their sales had been hurt with the unsuccessful launch of the iPhone 7.
Releasing a higher end model this year, the Apple X, the Cupertino giant will be hoping to hit the home run with their 10th-anniversary special device, with the right blend of innovation and pricing. The phone is expected to have an edge-to-edge display with facial recognition to unlock the phone.
The other two iPhones are also looking at minor design changes with the company expected to take to the wireless charging route.
Regardless, the annual Apple launch event is one worth gluing your eyes too. If like us you don’t have the Apple TV, but need a place to live stream the event, watch it here on DoubleTap through the video below.
